Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toonz Animation Studios, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala today, i.e. on 24th May 2023 at FTII, Pune.

This collaboration will benefit the students of the upcoming Undergraduate Course in Animation and Visual Effects Design of the Institute. Toonz Animation Studios, an industry leader in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector will support FTII in providing internships and academic inputs to the students.
The support of the Toonz Animation Studios will be extended to the setting up of an incubation center at FTII campus. Apart from this, FTII will run short term courses under its outreach arm, the Centre for Open Learning in the field of animation and visual effects in association with Toonz.
On the occasion of signing the agreement, Prof. Sandeep Shahare, Director, FTII said, “The collaboration with Toonz is a great step towards addressing the gaps between academia and industry. The association will benefit students of Animation and VFX of the Institute and also will be instrumental in formalizing internships and thus equipping them to meet the creative challenges in their career
