The Internal Committee of FTII deals with complaints of sexual harassment at workplace. It has the following members.

*Ms. Ketki Pandit, Professor SPW (on contract) will continue as Presiding Officer till 26.01.2025. Ms. Maheen Mirza, Assistant Professor Electronic Cinematography (on contract) will continue as a member till 26.01.2025 before she takes over as Presiding Officer of the committee.
Mandate of the Internal Committee (IC)
- The Committee will function as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and Government of India orders issued from time to time.
- Provide assistance if an employee or a student chooses to file a complaint with the police.
- Provide mechanisms of dispute redressal and dialogue to anticipate and address issues through fair conciliation without undermining complainant’s rights.
- Protect the safety of the complainant by not divulging identity and provide relief such as sanctioned leave, attendance relaxation, transfer of department or supervisor during the pendency of the complaint.
- Ensure that victims or witnesses are not victimised or discriminated against while dealing with complaints of sexual harassment.
- Ensure prohibition of retaliation or adverse action against individuals engaged in protected activity.
- Review programmes and monitor implementation of development schemes for women in accordance with guidelines suggested by the National Commission for Women.
- Gender Sensitisation and Orientation.
- Crisis Management and Mediation.
- Enquiry and Redressal.
The Committee is a constitutional body formed under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, with the purpose of making FTII a safe and secure place for all women – students, faculty and staff.
